CBS’S DENVER WEATHER APP. IT’S FREE AND RIGHT ON YOUR ANDROID OR APPLE DEVICE. THE DRIVER WHO PLOWED INTO THIS RUNNING STORE IN PARKER KILLING A TEENAGER WILL NOT FACE ANY CHARGES. WE’VE LEARNED THE DRIVER OF THE SUV HAD A MEDICAL ISSUE. RYLIE GUENTENSBERGER WAS PINNED UNDERNEATH THAT SUV LATER DYING FROM HER INJURIES AFTER SPENDING A MONTH IN THE HOSPITAL. OUR JENNIFER BRICE HAS BEEN FOLLOWING THIS STORY SINCE IT HAPPENED LIVE IN CASTLE ROCK FOR US. JEN, YOU TALKED TO RYLIE’S MOM THIS AFTERNOON. WHAT DID SHE SAY? Reporter: I TALKED TO THE MOM, THE DAD, AND THE BROTHER ACTUALLY, BRIT. THESE WERE JUST BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE WITH AMAZING HEARTS AND ARE IN SUCH A GOOD SPOT GIVEN WHAT THEY’VE BEEN THROUGH. THEY SAY A LOT OF THAT IS DUE IN PART TO THE OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT OF SUPPORT THEY’VE BEEN GIVEN FROM COMPLETE STRANGERS TO FAMILY MEMBERS. WHEN I SAY IN SUPPORT, IT’S LITTLE THINGS LIKE THIS. THEY’VE HAD PEOPLE MAKE DINNERS FOR THEM AND ALSO SOMEONE, THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO. A STRANGER CAME INTO THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD TO PUT THESE LITTLETAGS WITH RYLIE’S NAMES AND BOWS ALL OVER THE NEIGHBORHOOD. IT’S JUST LITTERED EVERYWHERE. THOSE LITTLE THINGS GOT THEM THROUGH THE REALLY TOUGH TIMES. FAMILY OF 12-YEAR-OLD RYLIE HOLD ON TO EACH OTHER AFTER LOSING SO MUCH. THEIR DAUGHTER DIED FROM INJURIES AFTER BEING HIT BY A CAR THAT DROVE THROUGH A STORE FRONT IN PARKER. RYLIE AND MOM WERE SHOPPING FOR RUNNING SHOES. WE HAD TWO CHOICES TO LET THIS BEAT US DOWN OR LEARN FROM IT AND GROW FROM IT AND WE KNOW THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT RYLI, WOULD WANT FROM US. Reporter: THE COMMUNITY RALLIED AROUND THIS FAMILY IMMEDIATELY IN WAYS THEY DID NOT EXPECT. PEOPLE IN THE U.K., THERE ARE BLUE SHOES HANGING ON A DOOR IN DUBAI. I MEAN IT’S CRAZY TO SEE PEOPLE REACHING OUT. I’VE HAD SO MANY MESSAGES. YOU DON’T KNOW ME, BUT I HAVE READ YOUR POST AND I’M TRYING TO SAY YES TO MY KIDS OR YES TO MY HUSBAND. THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS DESCRIBE RYLIE AS A TEENAGER WITH A BIG HEART WHO WOULD GIVE BACK TO NON-PROFITS. SO NATURALLY MOM AND DAD WANT TO THANK YOU AND EVERYONE WHO HELPED THEM FIND SOME LIGHT IN THE MOST DARK TIMES OF THEIR LIVES. THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR THE AMOUNT OF SUPPORT AND EVERYTHING. IT’S LIFTED US UP TO KNOW THERE’S BEEN THAT MUCH OF AN IMPACT AND THAT MUCH CARING AND KINDNESS AROUND. IT’S HELPED US THROUGH, YOU KNOW, SOME OF THE DARKEST DAYS WE’VE HAD TO GO THROUGH. I DO WANT TO MENTION THERE WILL BE A CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR RYLIE. THAT’LL BE ON JUNE 24 FROM 3:00 TO 6:00 P.M. AT THE PHILLIP S. MILLER COMPLEX IN CASTLE ROCK AND THE PUBLIC IS MORE THAN WELCOME TO ATTEND PROBABLY JUST A REAL GOOD TIME FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE TO GET TOGETHER AND REFLECT ON THEIR LIFE AND THE LIFE OF
